PGO Attends Intersolar Exhibition

From June 14th to 16th, 2023, INTERSOLAR Europe in Munich, Germany was held at the New International Expo Center in Munich, attracting 2,458 exhibitors from all over the world. Intersolar is one of the three most influential photovoltaic exhibitions in the world. It is jointly organized by the European Photovoltaic Industry Federation ESTIF of the Munich Exhibition Group, the German Solar Industry Association BSW, and the International Solar Energy Society ISES. Part of The smarter EEurope (the largest energy industry platform in continental Europe), focusing on the photovoltaics, solar thermal technology and solar power plant sectors. Under the motto "Connecting the Solar Business", manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers, project planners and developers as well as start-ups from all over the world meet in Munich every year to discuss the latest developments and trends, explore innovations first-hand and meet potential new customers. After more than 20 years of development, it has become an important battlefield for solar hydrogen energy, energy storage and related new energy companies to enter overseas markets.

The exhibition covers an exhibition area of 180,000 square meters and consists of 17 exhibition halls, attracting more than 85,000 visitors and exhibitors. There are more than 700 Chinese exhibitors participating in this year's exhibition, including many top Chinese photovoltaic companies. The participating PGO member companies include GCL Integration, Suzhou Tenghui, CHINT New Energy, Trina Solar, etc. and other well-known enterprises. They all showed up with the latest products and technologies, and with efficient and reliable product services, they attracted a large number of new and old customers, industry experts and audiences from all over the world to the show and become fans.

A key topic at Intersolar Europe this year was the renaissance of photovoltaic production in Europe. Politicians and economists agree that photovoltaic production must be brought back to Europe. This requires removing current barriers and accelerating production expansion. Today, European manufacturers cannot keep up with the demand for photovoltaic products. According to market research firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, the total photovoltaic capacity produced in the entire EU in 2021 will only be 8.3GW. To achieve this, Germany alone plans to install 9GW of PV this year. Supply chain disruptions and technology dependencies areinfluencing PV marketgrowth in Europe.

Ms. Moon Zhang, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the PGO, also went to the Intersolar exhibition site in order to deeply understand the needs of enterprises, establish cooperative relations with overseas new energy associations, and build a higher-quality international industry exchange platform. Learn about the new product releases of the participating companies of the members of the association, discuss the industry development with the members of the association, and get in touch with a number of European photovoltaic associations to establish a foundation for future in-depth cooperation.
